About Cavern

Cavern creates a unique sound of doom and sludge influenced grind that barely lets you breathe. The southern New Brunswick, Canada trio formed in early 2013 and put an immediate focus on writing and recording. The outcome is short bursts of aggression with a thunderous low end thanks to drummer Chuck Roherty and bassist/vocalist Scott Lilly. Guitarist/vocalist Scott Miller adds detuned noise and dissonance to the mix for a perfect blend of barely controlled chaos.

About Anthesis

Anthesis (formerly The Daisy Anthesis) originally started as an acoustic duo formed by guitarist/vocalist Scott Miller and bassist/vocalist Scott Lilly in 2004. Once they met drummer Andrew Martin in early 2006 they quickly burnt their acoustics and cranked their full stacks. Releasing their debut full length album "Surface and the Sky" on Diminished Fifth Records in 2010, Anthesis has evolved and been perfecting their groovy sludge/noise fusion without any restrictions.

New CAVERN / ANTHESIS Split to be released by Diminished Fifth Records

New Brunswick's Anthesis (Formerly, The Daisy Anthesis), have announced they will be releasing a split with their new project Cavern (which also features both Scott Miller and Scott Lilly) on the east coast metal label Diminished Fifth Records.

"Working on this split album has been a very unique experience for myself and Scott Lilly." commented Scott Miller. "With the 2 of us playing in both bands on this split it's been a great way to get different ideas out. I see Anthesis and Cavern as 2 very different projects and it's interesting to see them side by side like this. I write the majority of the music for both bands and it's great seeing how a different drummer can have such a unique input on the music. These songs would have turned out totally different if we swapped drummers."also adding "We treat both bands equally. Neither is the main or side project." The self-titled split features 10 songs (6 by Cavern and 4 by Anthesis) and will be available on Tuesday, March 11th on Diminished Fifth Records / D5 Digital. This is Anthesis first release since their 2010 debut 'Surface And The Sky' which Metalreview.com called "a sonic battering ram".

Trigger Point Set To Release Shaun Lopez (Far, Deftones) Produced Sophomore Album On March 25th & New Single

Inline image 1

Trigger Point have set March 25th, 2014 as the release date for their heavily anticipated Shaun Lopez (Far, Deftones) produced sophomore album “Giving up the Ghost” via THC Music/InGrooves. In anticipation of the album's release, the band have released their new single "Letters to the Living" online at
http://soundcloud.com/taywallatx/01-letters-to-the-living-1/s-Z1D39

"This was the first song we wrote for the album and it really set the tone for us both musically and lyrically. The song is about a dream I kept having about dying in a car crash," says Trigger Point frontman Taylor Wallace. "Having never gotten to say goodbye, I imagined myself writing a letter to my loved ones from the grave. The theme of the entire album is about letting go and moving on, both in life and in death."
Spring will also see the digital re-release of the band's debut “A Silent Protest”, available on all digital outlets 2/2.

Trigger Point released their debut LP “A Silent Protest”, produced by ex-Machine Head guitarist Logan Mader (Five Finger Death Punch), on Corporate Punishment. The album immediately became an underground favorite, as the band found great success at US Metal and Active Radio, garnering major national and international press. and toured relentlessly for several years, co-headlining the first "Corporate Punishment Tour", with CPR labelmates Allele and Shenoah, as well as a national run with 36 Crazyfists, and sharing stages with the likes of Hatebreed, Motorhead, Meshuggah, Otep, Devil Driver, and more. The group's video for "A Silent Protest" can be seen online at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRZIGfG1WH8

"This is one of my favorite records that no one's heard. I'm so happy that this album is finally going to be available for everyone to enjoy."- Dave Elitch/Killer Be Killed, (ex) The Mars Volta
"Giving Up The Ghost is unique in a time of over saturated bedroom recordings of mediocrity. It separates itself from the rest through the true emotions you can feel as you almost step into their heads as you listen. You can tell they aren't in it for the chicks and coolness most others do it for." - Johny Chow/Stone Sour
